KatsEye collar a tech driven solution that helps protect native wildlife while keeping cats safe and comfortable. Katseye collars are an important step in ensuring both our cats and our birds stay safe. This product was developed after observing my local area. Campbells Bay is a peaceful coastal suburb on Auckland’s North Shore, known for its lush green spaces, family friendly atmosphere, and beautiful beaches.
Background
With an in debth understanding of the communitys problem with cats damaging the wildlife a solution was established. I’m proud to introduce the KatsEye collar a tech-driven solution that helps protect native wildlife while keeping cats safe and comfortable. The collar has GPS tracking, which enables owners to use a smartphone app to track their cat’s location in real time. Motion sensors that identify hunting behaviors (such as stalking or crouching) and sound a soft warning to keep the cat away while also alerting the wildlife. With the use of geofencing, owners may create safe zones and receive notifications when their cat reaches places where there is a lot of bird activity. A sleek, comfortable design that ensures the collar is easy for cats to wear, with adjustable straps and lightweight materials. This combination of features makes KatsEye a unique and effective solution to an ongoing problem, giving cat owners the tools they need to keep their pets safe while protecting New Zealand’s native bird species.
