bikebuddy strongly believes in the importance of values and personality, as they are essential for a brand to establish its identity and build a connection with its audience. Therefore, bikebuddy has the following four values:
- Reliable - Users will get what they need to build trust between the brand and the customer.
- Adventurous - Encourage users to ride a bike and have as much fun as possible.
- Accessible - Ensure that users have access to a bike whenever they need it.
- Eco-Friendly - Recycle bike parts that can be used to repair other bikes. Aim for zero carbon emissions as well.

Local Area:
Takanini is a southern suburb of Auckland, New Zealand, home to a population of up to 15,000 residents. It is known for its growing population, diverse demographics, and two major shopping centers: Takanini Town Centre and Southgate Shopping Centre.

Problem:
Young people in Takanini face significant transportation challenges due to unreliable public transport, poor road deisgn causes heavy traffic, and limited access to alternative transportation options. This lack of mobility forces them to rely on parents or guardians to get around, restricting their independence.
Solution:
To address this issue, I developed bikebuddy, an app that provides affordable and easy access to bikes, specifically targeting young students aged 13 to 20 who are at a critical stage of their lives, where they are more likely to go outside. This service enables them to navigate Takanini more freely, offering a practical and eco-friendly alternative to public transport. Through careful research and observation, bikebuddy was designed to meet the needs of Takanini's youth, helping them move around the suburb more efficiently.
